Month One:

Session One:
Self Awareness & Intention Setting

Start strong with clarity, connection, and purpose. In this opening session, you’ll meet your cohort, set intentions for the months ahead, and take a clear-eyed look at your leadership strengths and development areas through a guided self-assessment.

You’ll begin drawing energy and insight from those around you - a group of managers at different stages in their careers, facing similar pressures and challenges, all cheering each other on.

This session sets the tone for the programme, helping you define what you want from the journey and laying the groundwork for your first personalised coaching call.

Session Two:
Commercial Awareness & Smart Goal Setting

The very best leaders have a creative restlessness for improvement in all areas and a hyper-focus on what really moves the needle for the team, guests and business. This session helps you develop that mindset. You’ll explore the commercial realities hospitality businesses are up against right now, and identify exactly where you can make the biggest impact in your venue/s over the next 6 months - whether that’s cutting waste, driving sales, re-energising your team, tightening service, or finally fixing the stuff that’s been dragging performance down for months.

We’ll unpack the key levers that matter most, and you’ll learn how to set clear, ambitious, realistic goals tailored to your situation (this could be your current KPIs, if you already have them). You’ll learn the idea of a Kaizen approach to drive consistent, meaningful progress.

Month Two:
CULTURE & CREDIBILITY

Session Three:
Cultural-Awareness & Employee Engagement

What is culture - and how do the best businesses use it as a competitive advantage? In this session, you’ll unpack the true drivers of team culture, run a litmus test on your current environment, and explore the idea that culture is only ever as strong as the worst behaviour you're willing to tolerate.

We’ll uncover what really matters to your team, dive into the latest Gallup research on engagement, and implement a proven listening strategy/benchmark to shape the culture you actually lead - not just the one you wish you had.

Session Four:
The Fundamentals of Modern Day Leadership

The game has changed. Post-pandemic, post-Brexit, hospitality faces further rising pressure, falling retention, and a workforce that values purpose and wellbeing more than ever. Leading today takes more emotional intelligence, resilience, and sense of clarity than ever before.

In this session, we’ll explore what it really takes to lead - not just manage. You’ll learn how to build trust, set direction, and lead with both humanity and accountability. We’ll unpack the difference between being ‘in charge’ and being someone people choose to follow - because in this industry, how you lead shapes your culture. Leadership isn’t just a skill. It’s a choice - with the power to transform your business - and people’s lives.

Month Three:
CLARITY & COMMUNICATION

Session Five:
Radical Candor & The Power of Praise

Feedback is one of the most powerful tools a leader has - when it’s done right. In this eye opening session, we explore why feedback often misses the mark, and how to make it land with clarity, kindness, and real impact. You’ll learn how to use the Radical Candor framework, creating a culture where honesty feels safe and useful. We’ll break down the difference between praise that motivates, praise that backfires, and praise that has the power to transform your business. This is about leading with backbone and heart - and cutting out the burnout, repetition, and resentment that come from leaving things unsaid.

Session Six:
The Feedback Loop - Coaching, Growth & Performance

In this session, we’ll dig further into the art of giving feedback ‘on the job’ and in real life. You’ll explore how to coach meaningfully during service, how (and when!) to lean into discomfort when it matters, and how to use everyday moments - like a simple coffee chat - to build trust, uncover blind spots, and drive real development in your team.

We’ll also unpack how to spot the Rockstars, Superstars, and Energy Leaks in your rota and how to build the kind of authentic relationships that lift performance, boost morale, and create lasting change.

Because when your people grow, your business grows too.


*** Cohort 1 will pause workshops for 6 weeks over Christmas, due to - well, if you know, you know. However - weekly check-ins, peer-to-peer support & coaching will continue during this time as required ***

PURPOSE & PASSION

Session Seven:
Culture in Action - Turning Insight into Change

Culture isn’t just what you say - it’s what your team and guests experience every day. In this session, we revisit the importance of culture through the lens of The Culture Code, exploring how establishing clear purpose, sharing vulnerability, and creating psychological safety amongst your team creates belonging, performance, and retention. Building on employee and guest feedback, you’ll learn how to interpret the data meaningfully - spotting what’s really being said beneath the surface. We’ll guide you to craft a simple, high-impact engagement action plan that balances quick wins with deeper behavioural shifts and goals, rooted in what you've learned so far about leadership, feedback, and team dynamics. This is where insight meets action and where your leadership begins to shape the lived reality of your culture.

Session Eight:
The Hospitality Effect

This session is about rediscovering the power of hospitality to inspire, connect, and elevate.

We’ll look at the difference between service and hospitality and why technical excellence, guest satisfaction (and yes, optimising spend), matter more than ever.

We’ll walk through the perfect guest journey and explore how small, intentional touches can turn everyday transactions into lasting experiences.

Inspired by Will Guidara’s Unreasonable Hospitality, this session will leave you with renewed purpose, practical tools to raise standards, and the mindset to lead a team that makes people feel something.

Month Five:
RAISING THE BAR

Session Nine:
Leading with Clarity

Every great shift starts with focus. This session helps you set consistent standards and coach your team in real time - before, during, and after service. You’ll learn how to deliver sharp, confident team briefs, give feedback that lands, and coach without crushing energy. From the salt shaker theory to confident on-the-job correction, you’ll leave with tools to steady the ship, raise standards, and support your team without micromanaging.

Session Ten:
Training on Purpose

What gets trained, gets done. This session gives you a practical framework to spot skill gaps, deliver high-impact training, and build a culture of continual learning. We’ll simplify the hospitality training cycle, sharpen your trainer instincts, and give you tools to build engaging mini-sessions that stick. Whether onboarding new starters or levelling up your current team, you’ll leave ready to lead training with more purpose and far less repetition.

Month Six:
THE LONG GAME

Session Eleven:
Building your tribe

You don’t just need people - you need the right people. This session will show you how to recruit with values, protect and improve your culture, and avoid costly mis-hires. We’ll cover what great trial shifts look like, how to define ‘culture fit’, and how to turn your values into daily behaviours you can actually hire against. Less firefighting, more future-building. This is about becoming a true guardian of your culture - hiring with intention, building teams around genuine shared values and work ethic, and putting an end to costly mis-hires.

Session Twelve:
Lead Forward

You’ve made real progress - now it’s time to embed it. In this final session, you’ll reconnect with the habits, insights, and confidence you’ve built. We’ll reflect honestly, celebrate wins, and map out what needs to happen next - back at site and in yourself as a leader.

It’s a collaborative, energising close to the programme - equipping you with renewed clarity, real momentum, and the mindset to keep leading forward long after the sessions end.
